Job Vacancy at PT. Nusa Halmahera Minerals

PT. Nusa Halmahera Minerals is a gold mining and exploration company, operating a COW on Halmahera Island, North Maluku. The company is a joint venture between Newcrest Mining Limited (82.5%) and PT Aneka Tambang (17.5%).

The Company has three positions vacant for Lean Six Sigma Blackbelts at Gosowong - North Halmahera working a 4 weeks on, 2 weeks off roster. The positions report to Business Improvement Manager.

Task and Responsibility

To deliver significant improvements to business performance through:
• ensuring the provisions of a safe and health work environment are maintained,
• working with all groups within PT NHM (Gosowong) to promote continuous improvement,
• maintaining a business improvement approach suited to the needs of the organization,
• assisting and facilitating development of business practices,
• leading and delivering designated business improvement projects,
• contributing to an effective Business Improvement team.

Qualifications/Experience

The successful candidates will possess the following qualifications and experience:
• Minimum Bachelor Degree in Mining Engineering,
• Minimum 5 years of Underground Mining experience, preferably 3 years at Senior Supervisory level/Project Leader,
• Expertise in Six Sigma methodology, computer literate & good presentation skills will be an advantage,
• Good interpersonal skill and leadership behaviour, team player, good analytical skill, highly motivated, mature, high integrity and able to work with little supervision,
• Excellent command of spoken and written English and excellent communication skills to work with various functions within NHM, Newcrest Group, suppliers and subcontracted service providers,
• Strong computer and IT system literate (Minitab, emails, SAP, etc),
• Has a long vision and good ability to set up concept, action plan and experience in running projects. Able to think of new ways of doing the business and for various improvement alternatives.
