 Project Driver (National), Jakarta

Under the overall supervision of the FAO Representative, the Project Chief Technical Advisor, the Project Manager, the National Administrative Coordinator and under the direct supervision of the Senior Administrative Assistant, the project driver will perform the duties within the FAO / GOI Avian Influenza Control Programme.

Provide safe operational transportation services ? movement of people and project equipment/supplies -  to support the FAO /
GOI Avian Influenza Control Programme

•  Discuss daily with the Senior Administrative Assistant the transportation needs for the day.
•  Maintain the daily logbook for vehicle and provide a summary of all vehicle movements at the end of each month to the Senior Administrative Assistant and the TCDC Expert.
•  Manage the cash advance provided by the Finance Assistant for transport related costs incurred while carrying out official duties and provide all receipts in a timely manner to settle the outstanding cash advances.
•  Monitor the status of the vehicle and report mechanical problems as soon as they have been noticed.
•  Ensure that the vehicle follows a strict routine maintenance schedule.
•  Ensure that the vehicle is kept clean.
•  Ensure that the vehicle is parked only in a safe area.
•  Available for working outside of Jakarta and working flexible hours to support the Programme.
•  Inform the Senior Administrative Assistant of the status of the registration and licensing of the vehicle.
•  Preferably with UN experience but not necessary.
•  Mechanical skills to carry out basic services for the vehicle will be an advantage.
•  Ability to work with individuals from different cultural /national backgrounds; good interpersonal and communication skills.
•  Ability to work with minimum supervision.
•  At least five years experience of professional driving for a company, agency or independent person.
•  Possess a valid Indonesian driver?s license.
